WWI History after Treaty of Versailles:
German production of 9mm pistols was prohibited
But when Nazi party came to power, and started preparation
for WWII , Hitler ordered the production of Lugers
at Mauser plant with special sneak codes, that will prevent the enemy
from recognizing the date and place of manufacture of the pistols.
Secret S/42 Toggle logo was used to indicate Mauser production
and Chamber codes were used “S’ for 1933, “K” for 1934 , “G” for 1935
and in 1936 they decided to put the date on the chamber.
